Overview
Glaceon VMAX can nullify any damage from your opponent's VMAX Pokemon excluding Glaceon VMAX due to its Ability Crystal Veil. Basically, it will be your auto win if your opponent's deck mainly relies on VMAX Pokemon to attack and your opponent have no mean to block Glaceon VMAX Ability.
For VMAX Pokemon, its attack damage is not that great. Its attack Mac Icicle has 150 base damage and does 30 damage to 1 of your opponent's Benched Pokemon and it requires 3 Energy to use it. This kind of damage is only good against non V Pokemon.
Since it is a Ice Pokemon, it has Metal Weakness. Because Metal Pokemon like Zacian V are popular right now, this is definitely not a preferable weakness to have. Also, it has quite low HP [310] for VMAX Pokemon and no resistance.
Its pre-evolution, Glaceon V first attack Ice Ascension can be used to evolve into Glaceon VMAX during your first turn if you go for second. The other attack, White Out is not that useful since this attack has only 120 damage so it is better to use Max Icicle instead.
Energy Setup
Frosmoth Ability Ice Dance can be used to attach 3 Water Energy from your hand to your Benched Glaceon VMAX. If you don't have Water Energy in your hand to use Ice Dance, you can use Capacious Bucket to find 2 Water Energy from your deck.
Nullify Basic Pokemon
The problem with Glaceon VMAX is that it will definitely have hard time when facing Basic Pokemon like Zacian V.
One of the best way to counter against Basic Pokemon is to use Eiscue. Eiscue has an incredible attack Block Face which has 70 base damage and an effect of preventing any damage done to it by attacks from Basic Pokemon. Since this effect is not done to your opponent Pokemon, this nullifying effect will remain on Eiscue even if your opponent switch its Active Basic Pokemon with Benched Basic Pokemon.
With the combination of Glaceon VMAX and Eiscue, you deck will be able to nullify damage from both V Pokemon and VMAX Pokemon. Thus, your chance of victory will also be increased dramatically.
Pokemon Tool
The new Pokemon Tool, Snow Leaf Badge allows Glaceon VMAX to have no Weakness and no Retreat Cost. This will make Glaceon VMAX a lot tougher since your opponent will now need at least 2 turns to knock it out.
